Signs of Spring ? Pot Holes !!!

I am raising my right hand and swearing on the Good Book that I will no longer complain about the condition of the roads in Rhode Island. I will zip it, and not spew profanities when my back tire makes direct contact with a pot hole the size of my head.

I have seen the light...and it is called Massachusetts' Roads. I had to drive to downtown Boston yesterday and I am amazed that my car made it. Route 128 is nothing but a never ending series of pot holes. There is one brief section that seems to have been the beneficiary of some Spring time repaving, and truthfully that half mile or so was a welcomed respite.

In order to get to my destination, the medical district, I take Route 9 off of 128. I think they should re-name Route 9 to Pot hole Parkway, as they are never ending. Traffic is such on that road that you cannot quickly pull into the adjacent lane to avoid hitting one, so it is non-stop. If I was a hub-cap collector, I would have collected a treasure trove of them yesterday!

How about putting some of the Obama bucks into the restoration of these roads?
Somehow, some part of me thinks that all of these pot holes might be just a sneaky diabolical plot by the auto companies....hoping against hope that hitting pot holes hard enough will force us into dealerships for repairs and once there we will find out that the repairs are priced so astronomically high that in comparison the price of a new car now looks like the better option. Just a thought.
