Shopping, Eating, & Drinking All Under One Roof, Count Me In

I wish I had though of this, a store that has wonderful collectibles, notions, potions, jewelry, candles and a cafe, which when you enter you must pass by the first display counter which is filled with gourmet chocolate, and then onto the second display counter which is filled with decadent desserts. Once you are seated, displayed for your pleasure is an assortment of wines, white - red - pink - whatever you desire.

How great is this, you can have lunch with wine, indulge in great desserts, and then shop, all under one roof, my kind of place.

Whenever I need a dose of estrogen in a shop, I always head on over to my favorite place, Tickles. It even has a plaque on the front door that reads, "Your husband called and said to get whatever you need." Don't you just love that!

I found Tickles quite a few years ago. It became my go to place with my daughter whenever she needed a pick me up. It is the place that I take all my out of town visitors, while the boys golf, the ladies shop and have a bite to eat and a glass or two or the vino du jour.

I went there today with a really good friend, we ate, we drank, and we shopped...what better way to spend time with a great friend!

Tickles is in Seekonk, MA. and I think I have been going there for at least 10 years, and have never encountered a man shopping there. Of course, I generally never shop there during the holiday season, today was the exception, and watching men search for gifts within that environment was hysterical. You could tell that with exception of having had to purchase lingerie or sanitary products for the women in their lives, having to shop at Tickles was without a doubt sucking the testosterone right out of them. One guy just pointed at a gift, grunted, nodded his head in agreement and bolted as soon as the clerk checked him out. Once outside, he breathed deeply as if he had entered the depths of Hades and had returned unscathed. Men....they are fun to watch in this shop, they are totally out of their element. But you must admire them because it is obvious that they care enough about the woman in their life to even venture into Tickles.

I am waiting for the day after Christmas when they put all of their Christmas merchandise on sale, it will give me another reason to eat, drink and shop...easily a triple threat for any woman!
