Every day I get into my car and every day I look at the copious amounts of dust on the dashboard and tell myself, someone should really clean that. So too, for the inside of my windshield 'cause if truth be told, when I drive home in the evening I drive facing the setting sun, and there have been times when I literally had to bend my head down closer to the steering wheel in order to locate the one clear patch of windshield still available.
Because I am exhausted at the end of the day, once I drag my arse into the house, the last thing I want to do is schlepp cleaning accoutremnets out into the driveway to clean my car.
I must point out that compared to some folks I know, I drive a very clean car. There is no trash in my car, no extra anything. In fact the only thing I've brought into the car since I bought it 2 years ago are a few CDs and my stainless steel coffee travel mug that I bring into the house each evening.
I do clean the exterior, but then there is a car wash at my gas station so it really doesn't take a lot of effort to get from the pump to the drive through car wash.
I think some young entrepreneur should start a car service that dusts, vacuums and generally spiffs up a car's interior. And I think they should do it while you are at work. All day long my car just sits in the parking lot, as do hundreds of others. I bet a kid could make a killing offfering this service. I would definitely pay $25 for someome to come to my office, find my car and do carwork. We could call them carkeepers, or vehicular specialists. I would consider it a safety enhancement as once it was done, I would immediately become a safer driver as I would be able to once again see out of my windshield.
