Invasion of Sloughing Cells

I recently read that dust consists of skin cells that have been sloughed off by our bodies. If that is the case, I have come to the conclusion that I must have hundreds of people living in my house by day, making their exit before my husband and I return from work. That is the only feasible explanation for the amount of dust that appears in this house! I hate dusting. My husband is definitely dust impaired, never even acknowledging its existence. The only way he knows that I might have been dusting, is if he smells oranges or lemons. I eat neither so the only conclusion he can draw is the I must have sprayed something.

On my way to work, I must drive by what I call McMansions, those obscenely large houses built on small plots of land that all look alike, and instead of feeling jealous of the occupants, my first thought is who dusts the damn place?

One would think that now that it is winter, and my windows are closed, the amount of additional dirt that could be blowing through my house would be at a minimum, thus coming to the conclusion that there should be less dusting. Au Contraire ! I think the furnace has a mind of its own, and somewhere in the oil that I burn to make it run, there must be millions of sloughed off body cells, which end up blanketing my furniture. I remember as a kid visiting a relative and in one of the spare bedrooms writing "Dust Me" on the dresser. I just today realized that I was a wise ass for doing that, as I could easily accomplish that feat on any given day in my own spare bedrooms. I have decided that cobs are an endangered specie and if anyone should point out that I have a cobweb anywhere in my house that should be removed, I will report them to PETA. Same goes for the very rare and seldom seen (unless you want to crawl under a bed) dust bunny. Now I'm going to go have a talk with my husband and try to get him to slough off fewer cells, I can't stop doing it myself as in my world sloughing cells is the equivalent to dieting.
